Our condolence to the family of Wilkie, He was a wonderful coworker at Drexel in Black Mountain in the Chair and Assembly Dept.My Mom and I worked with him for many years. He was great at his craft working on the routers in our dept and was a very hard worker. He always had a big smile and something funny to tell you each morning. I know he will be missed by all who knew him. We will keep you all in our prayers. Rose Norton and Sharon Rice Honea
Jerry,
I’m sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I’m a close friend of Margaret (Memaw) and Joyce Ferguson. Memaw spoke of Wilkie all the time & she will miss him dearly.
Jerry and John,
I just learned of Uncle Wilkie’s passing. Please know my love, prayers, and condolence are with you. I have fond memories of being ‘introduced’ to basketball by Uncle Wilkie…especially the Tarheel version simultaneously watched on TV and listened to on the radio. I know you miss your parents. Be uplifted by the well-wishing of family and friends.
Love,
Duane
