William Luther (Bill) Conner, Jr.

Fairview ~ Bill Conner, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many, went to heaven on Saturday, May 18th surrounded by his loving family.
Bill retired in 1968 from the US Navy as Chief Seabee with 21 years of active service. He was co-founder of the Mtn. View MHP and Sales and Ace Mobile Home Sales and was a former member of the Fairview Lions Club. His hobbies included NASCAR, the Atlanta Braves, camping and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Grady Conner; son, Randy Conner and stepsons, Timothy and Dwayne.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Patsy "Pat" Conner; six grandchildren, Hannah Allegra and her husband, Brett, Tiffany, Zachary, Nathan, and Randy Conner and Kayleigh Taylor, all of Fairview; two great grandchildren, Jordan and Graham Allegra; daughter-in-law, Melissa Conner; a sister, Carolyn C. Nesbitt; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his loving companion, his pug, Fiona.
Thank you to his special niece, Becky N. McIntosh, who spent the days and nights at the hospital assisting him and family. We are forever grateful to you. Also thanks to a special friend to the family, Ashley Riddle.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday at Cane Creek Cemetery with Pastor Norris Wright officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.
Bill was a good man and fun to be around and we will miss him dearly

The loss of Luther must be very difficult. I remember him as one who loved his family and his death brings back fond memories of him as a cousin of mine.
