Born in: Asheville, NC
Resided in: Asheville, NC

Wilton H. Moore III, born February 21, 1974 in Asheville, North Carolina, entered eternal rest on Friday July 15, 2022 at Mission Hospital. A lifelong resident of Asheville, he was the son of Patricia Clement Moore and the late Wilton “Pug” Moore Jr.

After attending Asheville High School, he obtained a certification in welding. Throughout his life, Wilton worked various jobs. After a short time, he was promoted to sales manager at Rent World and later held positions at Mission Hospital, then Ingles Warehouse. He had a passion for playing pool, which he was highly skilled at.

Affectionately known to everybody as Unc, or simply Wilt, Wilton was an outgoing and fun-loving person. His humble spirit and contagious laugh provided smiles and laughter to all who were around him, and was seen as the life of the party. His love for mankind gave him the willingness to help when needed, whether it was a listening ear, a shoulder to lean on, or a helping hand.

In addition to his mother, Wilton leaves behind his children, Tyneisha Hamilton, Latisha Moore, Kaliq Moore, Jaceion Burts, and Amaria Moore; sister, Janice Moore; brothers, Payton, Richard, and Andrew Moore of Weaverville; godbrother, Aundell Barton of Atlanta, GA; grandson, Kiere Smith; aunts, Brenda and Lureatha Clement of Asheville, Katrina and Mary Alice Williams of Columbus, Ohio, Diane Thomas of Durham, and Dollie Coxton of Asheville; grandfather, Clinton Williams of Columbus, OH; and uncle, Andre Thomas (Carol) of Asheville, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
