Worley Emma Allen Reese, 84, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Fleshers of Fairview Healthcare. Mrs. Reese was born in Yancey County to the late Rosswell and Revy Rathbone Allen. She was also preceded in death by a son, Randy Reese; a grandson, Bobby Reese and three sisters and one brother. Worley loved crocheting, gardening and especially her cat, "little man". She is survived by her three sons, Leroy Reese and his significant other Frankie, Glenn Reese, and Jackie Reese and his wife, Debbie; one sister, Farlin Thomason and four grandchildren, Billy Jack, Cindy, Sherry and Lisa. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian at 2:00 pm with Reverend Clyde Thomason officiating. Burial will follow at Emma's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 at the Funeral Home.

  5. I am so sorry for your loss. Met her when she came to to see her son Randy before he passed away what a beautiful soul she was. Debbie you took good care of her could have not ask for a better daughter in law. Now her and Randy are together in heaven a much better place. Love all of you and, you are in our prayers.
