Yvonne Sayles Jarvis

Yvonne Melton Sayles Jarvis, 78, of Fairview, died Friday, November 15, 2013, at JFK Solace Center. Mrs. Jarvis was born in Rowan County to the late John and Frances Dennis Melton. She retired from Kunkle Valve Company and was of the Baptist faith. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, William J. Jarvis and sons, William M. and Kenneth Sayles. She is survived by one son, Donnie Sayles and his wife Darlene, and one daughter, Regina S. Barre, all of Fairview; granddaughter, Brandy S. Montagnari and her husband Morgan, of Johnson City, TN; special cousin, Sidney Bass of Swannanoa. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, in the Tunnel Road chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Page officiating. Her family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Cane Creek Cemetery.
