Jack Weaver Bane, age 70, of Fletcher died Monday, June 11, 2018. Jack formerly owned and operated Bane Electric Company, a business he built and truly enjoyed. He was a loving father and grandfather who especially enjoyed spending time with his family at the lake. He passed away peacefully at home following a lengthy struggle with dementia.
A native of Asheville, he was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Aldena Parker Bane, as well as one sister, Rebecca Bane and one brother, Barry Bane.
Jack is survived by his daughters, Terri Edmiston (Jim) and Tracy Wilson (Ashley); his grandchildren, Cassie, Alex, Tanner and Brayden, and former wife Linda Adams and her husband James who have spent the last two years serving as Jack’s caregivers.
A service celebrating Jack’s life will be held at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Wednesday, June 13 at 11:00 AM. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 AM, as well as at the residence immediately following.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of Hind’s Feet Farm and Four Season’s Hospice for their support.
