Carolyn Jane Sorrells, 72, of Asheville, passed away on October 31, 2018 due to complications from an aneurysm.
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, she was a daughter of the late Edward F. Clark and Caroline Langer Clark. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Ed Clark and father-in-law, Ray Sorrells.
Jane was a devout and devoted parishioner of the Basilica of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a Franciscan.
She had many wonderful friends from the Basilica. She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and lived out her Catholic Christian faith daily.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; daughter, Amy; son, Matt and family friend Terry DeClerk; two sisters and brother-in-laws; four brothers and three sister-in-laws; mother-in-law, Betty; a brother-in-law and wife; a sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Roger Arnspanger will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 5 at the Basilica of St. Lawrence in Asheville, NC. A graveside service and burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery on Cypress Drive in Oakley.
