Fletcher - Alexis “Lexie” Nicole Moffitt, 17, of Fletcher, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 12, 2018, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of Jesse Alan Moffitt (Erin) of Fletcher and Mandy Tiller Capraun (Ryan) of Hendersonville.
Lexie was a Senior at West Henderson High School, where she was involved in HOSA and the KEY Club. She was also very active in the West Henderson High School Dance Club.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sisters, Alyssa Tiller of Hendersonville and Kennedy Fletcher of Fletcher; four brothers, Jacob McCurry of Candler, Peyton Fletcher of Fletcher, Ryan “Mootie” Capraun of Hendersonville and Roen Capraun of Hendersonville; paternal grandparents Chris and Gwen Moffitt of Fletcher; maternal grandparents Doug Tiller of Knoxville, TN and Connie Jump of Asheville; cousins and best friends, Michaiah and Brianna Moffitt, both of Fletcher as well as one uncle, Jeremy Moffitt (Melissa) of Fletcher.
A service celebrating Lexie’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 17, 2018 in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. Burial will follow at Hooper’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday, November 16.
