Clyde Randy Early, 53, of Leicester, died Monday, December 19, 2011, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center. A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of Barbara Lee Brendle and of the late Dwight Early Jr. He was preceded in death by grandmothers Nellie Lee and Rosie Early; grandfather Clyde Lee Sr.; brother Danny Douglas Gross; and sister Lola Danita Gross. He was a graduate of T.C. Roberson High School, and was employed with Champion. Randy was a very fun loving person, and he will be greatly missed. In addition to his mother, Mr. Early is survived by his step-father, Joe Brendle; sisters Linda Diane Cox and husband Ray, and Patricia Louise Cole; brother Carl Bobby Gross; brother-in-law Anthony Cole; very special uncle Troy U. Buckner, Jr. and cousin David Buckner of Biltmore; special aunt Lola Lee Godfrey; many nieces and nephews including Danita Powell, Tony Gross, and Angela Hampton; and special friend Debbie Caldwell. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Green Hills Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Fowler officiating. His family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave.

I’m so proud that God gave you to me as my brother..You are safe in the arms of God now, free of sickness and pain.I’ll see you again when I get to Heaven.
