Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. When I first read of Eileen’s passing I thought I’d best notify Edith Wells right away…then I realized that Edith is gone too. She and Eileen were good friends. I sure miss Edith and I know you will miss Eileen too. I was happy for Eileen and Preacher Jacks when they got married – two lonely hearts able to unite together in their golden years. I remember visiting Eileen’s home in Leicester and all those beautiful dolls and what a sweet person she was. Ann, I worked @ Mission with you years ago, but don’t know if you remember me. I was on the day shift. Thankfully, there is rejoicing in Heaven as another Saint is called home and what a reunion they are having! My prayers for the family. Teresa Riddle

  2. I only knew Eileen for a short time, but I will certainly remember her forever. I feel blessed to have known such a gentle soul, lover of life, and talented artist, if only briefly. Her family is in my prayers.

  3. Our Aunt Ena was placed in her final resting place today and has probably already started painting the gates of heaven!! Truly a very special lady and will be missed by all those fortunate enough to know her.
Your loving nephew and wife, Ed & Shirley

  4. Our prayers are with you all.
May God be with you at this time of sorrow and stay with you through all your tomorrows.

    Love you!

  5. My family will miss Eileen dearly, and we extend our prayers and support to all of Eileen’s family. She was a wonderful neighbor and friend to both my parents — James and Peggy Brazell. As Scrabble partner, UNCA basketball supporter, and lunch companion, Eileen shared her spirit, good humor, and fondness for sweet desserts, biscuits and tea…and she will be sorely missed. We can always catch a glimpse of her through her artwork, and remember those wonderful teapot and tea cup earrings she loved! She will always be there for us to recall, with a tear and a smile. May she rest in peace, and peace be with you, too.

  6. I am Eileens only daughter Deborrah A.Allen. I wanted to thank ALL of you so much for your love & support In Feb for our family when Eileen passed. She was loved by everyone who met her.Her paintings, knitting art & sewing projects were ‘fantastic’ & perfect. They will continue to live on to be enjoyed by others for years to come.Mom was ‘doing things’ for others constantly to bring them joy, 365 days a year.I cant believe she is really gone. Her best friend Pat Grout and I speak often by phone how much we miss her daily. Neither of us can believe we are ‘unable’ to pick up our phones & call to chat & hear about her latest accomplishments or how she is doing. The loss of losing Mom is still a MAJOR-LOSS to everyone who knew her. Thanks again your kindness, flowers, love and support to our family. She will never be forgotten.Remember that life is way too short & your loved ones they can be gone in a moment just like she was.

    Warmest Regards
    Deborrah A. Allen
