Bonita Case Michales, 93, of Candler, died on Monday, July 23, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her family. A native of Buncombe Co., Mrs. Michales was a daughter of the late Arthur Alvin and Millie Austin Case. She was also preceded in death by her husband James William Michales, who died in 1985, and by three of her brothers. Mrs. Michales was an avid bingo player, enjoyed collecting elephants, and loved to listen to Randy Travis. She is survived by her daughters, Nyoka Limeberry, of Candler, and Patricia Taylor, of Old Fort; sons, Tommy Michales, and J.B. Michales, both of Candler, and James Lynn Michales, of Bent Creek; three sisters; a brother; 16 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and three special grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Bent Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Propest officiating. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave., and at other times at the home of Doug and Cindy Limeberry, 22 Holcomb Rd., Candler. We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Bonita she was a very sweet women that was loved by many people.we know her family will miss her dearly but everone knows she is now pain free and she is gone on to a place we all are looking forward to be one day to i have to say God really bless her to let her live to be almost 94 you dont hear people living to be that old anymore much what a blessing for such a long life and she enjoyed ever great day she got to be with her family that i know loved her so much.my thoughts and prayers go out to everone of her family members!!!!
