I am sorry to lose a good high school friend who was soft spoken and liked and admired by everyone. I can still remember his soft but deadly jump shot while playing on the Lee Edwards basketball team. He and his wife have raised a wonderful family and we will all miss him. May God bless this family and see them through this difficult time. Jerry Crow

The Hutchins family is very dear to me. To this day, I have fond memories of Cecil’s big smile and warm nature. He added so much to the Acton Church family and always welcomed me back when I’d come home for a visit. I hope it helps to know that others care and are thinking about you at this sad time.

We were so very sorry to hear of Cecil’s passing. He was a true gentleman with a twinkle in his eye. Our deepest sympathy is with the whole Hutchins family. May you be comforted by the memory of the fine man he was.
Family, You will not remember me, but I’m a first cousin of Cecil, Gary, and Virginia and remember them well as children. My father was brother to Carnith. He was Edley Hutchins, but my parents divorced so I never knew Cecil as an adult. As a child, I believe he was called “Tooney”. I always thought he was handsome as well as Gary, and Virginia had a hairstyle that I asked my mom to copy with my hair. I hope all family are well. Sympathy to all. Sorry I just learned of the deaths of Cecil and Gary while working on genealogy.
