Rest in peace, old soldier ! You were my hero !!
So many fine memories. Baseball. Golf. Picnics in the ‘holler’ at Andrews. Many stories of the 79th. You and Helen have always been so kind to me and our family. Rest in Peace.
RIP Uncle Donald and I will always miss your stories you had to tell as we were growing up. I will always remember when you sat me up on the back of a wagon in the wagon train coming through Andrews. Also remember the time you chased me down and spit tobacco in my hand laughing so hard!!! Love and miss you but you will get to see all the rest of them.
One of the most interesting men I have been fortunate to know !
Donalds nephew Danny used to love to tell wild stories about his uncle. Once when we took Alene to visit him she asked why he didn’t have his teeth in and he said an old friend had borrowed his teeth to wear to a party and had never brought them back. You had to love his sense of humor and Danny really did. My deepest sympathy to Helen and family. R.I.P.
Sorry for your loss.
Thank you Uncle Donald for so many childhood memories.
Sorry to hear of a fellow comrad going on ahead of me to heaven.
