Hannelore Johanna Turner

Hannelore Johanna Zippel Turner, 78, of 34 Ashe Road, Candler, NC, went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 13, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital. Mrs. Turner was born in Germany and was a daughter of the late Otto and Alwine Zippel. She was married to Rudolph Turner who went before her in December, 1999. Mrs. Turner was a cherished, wonderful, loving wife and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. All children were her life. She is survived by two daughters, Ilona Haynie and her husband Lanas of Asheville, NC and Susie Ray of Candler; three sons, Charles Turner of Candler, Frankie Turner and his wife Julie of Wichita, KS, and Stevie Turner of Candler; two sisters, Hertha Ahrens and Ilse Zippel of Germany; twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law Rosa Bowen and Louise Turner of Hazelhurst, GA, Geneva Van of Brunswick, GA, Joyce Tuttle of Marietta, GA and Jean Turner of Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, Asheville, with the Rev. Edwin Olson officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
