Robert Millender Levi, II, 42, of Candler, died unexpectedly Wednesday, August 28, 2013.
He was born in Buncombe County to Robert M. Levi of Candler and Mary Henley Gaddy of McDonald, TN. He was self-employed.
Other survivors include his sister, Marla Jackson of Swannanoa.
A memorial service will be held Monday, September 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Swannanoa Church of God, with Rev. Ron Owensby officiating.
Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road is assisting the Levi family.
As a first cousin to his dad, I send my deepest sympathy.

I am at a loss of words. I gasped when i read this. Robbie was such a cool and hillarious guy in school cracked me up all the time. He was a dear person that had a warm heart. God bless his family during this time.

I ran into Robbie one time since high school…I often thought of him through the years, especially once Facebook became so popular. I have a few memories of watching him compete in Karate. He was an amazing athlete. My thoughts and prayers are with the Levi family.

I’m so sorry to hear of Robbie’s passing. He was a brother to my son Chris, so well liked, and full personality. He will be missed by many. Prayers to the family.

My daughter, Suzanne, told me of Robbie’s passing. He was a student in my fourth grade class at Candler. I still remember his smiling face and kind heart. He was a favorite and all the kids considered him their friend. Many prayers are with you and your family. Some kids you always remember and he was one of those. God bless you all.
I taught Robbie in the sixth grade and what a great kid. He was an absolute favorite of mine. Ran into him once as an adult and it was great to see him and talk with him. I am so sorry for your loss and I am truly saddened.

I worked with Robbie at Fuddrucker’s, and Chili’s. He was my manager at Fuddrucker’s, and although we had occasional disagreements, he always made me laugh. He was a very kind, good person, who I counted as a friend for many years. I am so incredibly sorry that this has happened, and his family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sharing a good memory:
Sharing in the same understanding and love of music, Robbie used to encourage me to sing along to the songs that made me smile, in fact -he plain out stubbornly insisted on it!.. even though it was evident I was tone deaf and couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket, he remained encouraging and insisting.
I still smile thinking about those times.
