Scott Timothy Conard, 51, of Hendersonville, went to be with his Heavenly Father on January 2, 2014. He was the son of the late Clarence M. and Frances Willis Conard. He was a devoted Christian who loved his Lord and Savior, his church, his wife, Jett and Lacy (his pets), family and friends. He had a kind, loving disposition and loved everyone. He was born June 19, 1962 in Buncombe County and lived there until moving to Henderson County in 1991 to marry. He is survived by his wife of over 22 years, Rachel McMinn Conard; one brother, Geoff Conard and his wife, Teresa, of Swannanoa; two sisters, Nellene White and her husband, Arlon, of Candler and Libby Mintz and her husband, Edward, of Waynesville, as well as nine nieces and nephews and six great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Tracy Grove Baptist Church (of which he was a member), with the Reverends James Maybin, Jack Ward and Allen Rash officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 1:00-2:00 PM and at other times, will be at the home. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to either the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 or to the funeral home to assist with expenses.

  2. I have known Scotty all my life, he was the epitomy of kindness. Never had a harsh word for anyone and acted as though everyone was his friend. Scotty was a dear human being and will be sorely missed by those who knew him. He was my friend and I will truly miss him.   4. Dear Conard Family:I can not express enough my condolences for the loss of Scotty, a childhood best friend whom could never be replaced. I have nothing but fond memories of Scotty and your whole family.
    I live in New Orleans now, therefore will not be able to attend the services.
    However, I will be there in spirit.
