Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dear Scott, Lisa and all of Gene’s extended family:

We’ll remember Gene’s sense of humor and gentle voice. God knows your heart and sorrows intimately. ‘When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled.’ (John 11:33)

The Lord wants ‘to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve… a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning,’ (Isa 61:2-3) May He quickly turn your family’s loss and pain into warm memories to celebrate, soft encouragement of God’s love for you.

We’re sorry to miss services and being with you – Deane’s cell will be on while we’re up north. Your whole family is surely in our prayers daily (and then some). Sending our love – D&L and family.

  2. Gene was an endured friend even though life’s circumstances minimized our contacts over the years. I will always cherish his friendship, support, and hospitality. Clean Sweep, NCSHP Captain Retired

  4. To the Family Of Mr. Hart,
Although I did not know Mr. Hart, I was Jonathan’s first grade teacher this past year. And I wanted to express my sympathy for your loss. I knew he had been sick as Jonathan would talk about it at school. And I know this is a difficult time for your family. Please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

  5. Dear Michael, Scott and Kim: My children and I wanted to let you know how sorry we are to hear of your Dad’s passing. I will always remember how nice your Dad was to me throughout the years that we have known your family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  6. Dear Butch and family: I am sorry for your loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers over the coming days.

  7. We are so sorry to hear of Gene’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love Bob & June

  8. My mother, Paula Jean Rickman Hawes, and Gene went to high school together and were friends until her death. In their high school yearbook, senior year, under Gene’s name, beside his picture it reads, ‘Make two grins grow when there was only a grouch before.’
I have fond memories of our families spending time together, especially through my teenage years. We would go to each others houses, our parents would play canasta, I think, and us kids would just ‘hang out’. We went camping together, too, and I just remember good warm feelings.
I will always remember Gene with a smile on his face and a good hug. Maybe he and my mom are having a ‘good ole time’ now.
    Love always, Traci

  9. Dear Family, We are so sorry to hear of Gene’s passing. Please accept our condolences during this difficult time and know our thoughts and prayers are with you in the days ahead.

  10. Dearest Brittany,

Words can not express how sorry I am for your daddy’s passing. I can honestly say I do feel your pain. I wish we both didn’t ever have to experience this, but it wasn’t up to us to decide. Your daddy isn’t feeling anymore pain or suffering now and that’s the only thought I have had to hang on to with the passing of my daddy. Always cherish the days and memories you had with him, and hold them close to your heart. My daddy and your daddy loved you very much, and one day we both will see them again in heaven. If you need me…I’m here and I always will be. I love you and have loved you like a little sister for many years. I will be praying for you and your family. Love, Pam
