Eugene “Donnie” Pressley, 57, of 19 Mack’s View Drive, Asheville, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 18, 2004.
Mr. Pressley was born in Haywood County and was a son of the late Johnny and Ora Lee Pressley. He was a self-employed carpenter.
Surviving are his wife Elizabeth Ann McMahan Pressley; two daughters Alyson Pressley of Asheville and Jill Pressley Stamey and her husband Jeff of Young Harris, GA; two step-sons David Brigman and his wife Kecia and Eddie Brigman and his wife Dale, all of Asheville; six grandchildren, Chelsea Martin and Jala Stamey of Young Harris, and Kyle, Jordan, Kira and Sean Brigman of Asheville; one sister, Betty Birchfield and her husband Charlie and two brothers, Wayne Pressley and his wife Judy and Clyde Pressley and his wife Mary, all of Waynesville.
A memorial service will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Watts officiating.
His family will receive friends immediately following the service and request that memorials be made to the Stecoah Fire and Rescue Department, PO Box 996, Robbinsville, NC 28771.
