Paul J. McMahan

Asheville – Paul Jerry McMahan, 79, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at John F. Keever Solace Center. Paul was born in Buncombe County to the late Herbert William McMahan and Pansy Allen McMahan. He was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mabel Pitts McMahan; daughter, Melanie Hunt; two sons, Kerwin McMahan and Garry McMahan; sister, Gloria Williams and three grandchildren, Jerrid, Jessica and Natalie. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul's honor to help with funeral expenses to Groce Funeral Home, 72 Long Shoals Road, Arden, NC 28704.
