Ora Burton Maugans

Arden, NC - Ora Burton Maugans, 91, of Arden, died Friday, August 6, 2004. A native of Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late Jacob F. and Maude Elizabeth Everhart Burton and wife of the late John T. Maugans, who died in 2001. Mrs. Maugans was a retired senior tax examiner with the Internal Revenue Service. She is survived by a daughter, Joy Garland of Asheville; a son, Burton Thomas Maugans of Cortland, NY; a sister, Dorothy Hutcherson of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11 am Tuesday in the Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville.
