Rae Miller Roberts

Garnett Rae Miller Roberts, 97, of Asheville, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014, peacefully in her sleep. Born in Buncombe County to the late Herman Vance and Robenia May Lipe Miller, she retired from Sayles Bleachery and was a member of Oakley United Methodist Church where she played the piano and organ and sang in the choir. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dowe Alexander Roberts; son, Dale A. Roberts and daughter, Margaret Lee Fuller. Survivors include two granddaughters, Kyna Rae Moore and husband, Rodney J. of Nashville, TN and Hannah Roberts Brockow and husband, Fred, of Montreal, Quebec, Canada; and grandson, Kurt Lawson and wife, Cleofe Arceno of Centerville, VA; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Belle Roberts and son-in-law, Rev. Dr. Charles G. Fuller. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 12:00 Noon at Oakley United Methodist Church. Rev. Rick Schilling will officiate. Interment will be in West Chapel Cemetery.
