Argie Parris Warren Stines "Nanny", 79, died Saturday, August 2, 2014, at her home in Candler. Mrs. Stines was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Carl and Ola Mae Stamey Parris. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Glen Warren, a son, Michael Glenn Warren, and a brother, Grady Parris. Surviving are her husband, AD Stines; son, William David Warren and wife Michelle; step-son, Dan Stines and wife Teresa; step-daughter, Kathy Stines; sisters, Barbara Buckner and Darlene Poole of Ranlo, Elizabeth Wright and husband Jim of Nebo; brother, Luther Parris and wife Gladys of Leicester; and grandchildren, Chad Warren, Sydney Franklin, Daniel Franklin, Lacey Buchanan, Anne Buchanan, Bryan Warren, Seth Cole, and Cherie Cole. Graveside services will be Monday August 4, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at White Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.

  16. Nanny was the strongest woman I knew and was always there willing to help anyone she could. She was my best friend’s world and pray that he will make it through not having her here everyday. Miss and love you always nanny.

  18. David and Chad I am so sorry to hear about aunt Argie. She was so special and always so full of life. I did not know until Monday when Bobby called me to tell me about uncle Paul’s passing. I am so sorry for your loss. You are always in my ——-thoughts!!! I have so many memories growing up there. Please, please call me David I really want to talk to you I really need to hear your voice!! I am in poor health myself and need to talk to YOU!!!! I am begging you! I LOVE YOU ! I still have the scar from the mini-bike ha ha! My # is 606-637-1437. Please call me.
