Arden – Barbara "Honey" Heise Lamb, 78, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 at Universal Healthcare in Fletcher. Mrs. Lamb was born in Buncombe County to the late Benjamin Edward Heise and Lilly Sue Knight Heise. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George C. "Charlie" Lamb, III and a brother, Benjamin Edward Heise, Jr. Barbara attended Skyland United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, George "Charles" Lamb IV and his wife, Dawn; two daughters, Laura Sword and her husband, Jeff and Linda Kamisol and her husband, Bob; two sisters, Laura Gray and Margaret "Polly" Greene; one brother, Jim Heise; nine grandchildren, Tyler and Bryan Lamb, Charlie, Christopher, Joseph, Jesse and Joshua Sword and Robert and Matthew Kamisol; one great granddaughter, Haley Sword and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:00 at the funeral home on Tuesday. A private graveside service with the family will be held the following day at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.   1. I knew the Lamb family from growing up on Yale ave, better known as Yale st. Jim Heise’s family visited often, always bring their children. Charlie (Booger) and Laura were always there as were Ben, Susie, and Terry Heise. I remember Charlie and Barbara well, especially when the house was being built at the end of the street.
