Guestbook

  1. Our Thoughts and prayers are with Ms. Helen and all Walters Family. He was just a good man and will be missed. We always enjoyed the picnics out on the farm. We must continue these, even though he is gone. It would be a good memorial to him.
    Sincerely,
    Robert C. Peurifoy

  2. We here at the Mobility Systems Division, Communications and Information Directorate, Air Mobility Command (AMC/A67), Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, would like to express our condolences to Lieutenant Colonel David Phillips and all of the Phillips family. We didn’t have the pleasure to meet Walter, but we have met his grandson, David, who has just arrived here to be the chief of the Enterprise Architecture Branch. As new members of Lieutenant Colonel Phillip’s Air Force family, we are saddened that the Phillips family has had to experience the loss of Mr. Phillips while Lieutenant Colonel Phillips and his family move to Illinois. Our thoughts and prayers will be with them as they continue settling in here at Scott Air Force Base.
    Sincerely,
The men and women of the Mobility Systems Division

  3. Helen, We are very sorry about your husband Walter’s death. May God comfort you and your family.

  4. I want to offer my prayers to you and all the family members on your loss. I am a distant relative of Walter Phillips. My Daddy (Carroll Preston Phillips) was Walter’s 1st cousin. My Daddy’s Father (James Carroll Phillips) and Walter’s Daddy were brothers. I have always meant to look Walter up and get some history, but never got around to it. I’m so very sorry for your loss and will keep you in my prayers.

    Nancy (Phillips) Prather

  5. Helen, Frank, Mary, Patty,
So sorry to learn of Walter’s passing. He has fought the good fight, he has finished the race, and now is at rest with all the hosts of heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time of family loss. Please know that Pris and I remember you all fondly and pray that God will comfort all of you at this time, until we are all joined together once again.

  6. Walter and my Dad, Fred Henderson were friends for a very long time. I loved “Uncle” Walter very much. Whenever he would bring watches over to my Daddy to be repaired he always would bring something for me. He was a kind Godly man who resides in a much better place. Patricia Henderson Harrington
