Amanda Rae Schlorff

amanda schlorff
Amanda Schlorff, 30, of Asheville, passed away peacefully on Sept. 25. A native of Michigan, Amanda graduated from Enka High School in 2002, and received an A.A. from AB Tech in 2008. Amanda worked for Universal MH/DD/SAS, providing care to children, including Lauren, who was her special little girl. Amanda believed that Friendship was Magic, knew every song on the radio, and could heal for days without going OOM. She was a ray of light in the life of everyone who knew her, and she will be missed. She is survived by her parents, Mark and Karen Schlorff; her brother, David Schlorff; her grandfather, Robert Schlorff; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A wake will be held at the Avery Creek Community Center at 5:30 PM on Monday, Sept. 29. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Asheville Humane Society, 14 Forever Friend Lane, Asheville, NC 28806. The family would also like to thank Dr. Foy, Dr. Patton, and Dr. White for the care and love that they showed to Amanda over so many years. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
