  5. Nancy,
We saw Oby as a person who was always full of energy, industrious, and on the go. He seemed happiest when there was a project for him to tackle and he lived life to the fullest. It is comforting to know that he was able to maintain this throughout his life. Each of us could wish for as much.
We will miss Oby dropping over to chat, and seeing him outside working in the yard that he loved so much. Our sympathies go out to you, Ollie, Julie and all of the family.

  15. Nancy,
Words often fail me at a time like this, but I wanted you to know how lucky I feel to have known Oby. I only met him in person once, but we spoke on the phone many times. His strong attitude and honesty about his cancer will always be an inspiration to me. I know our officers feel a deep sense of loss for Oby. His willingness to assist them was invaluable and very much appreciated. He will be missed by all of us. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

So many fond memories of you! Thank you for all the great times we shared hiking in the mountains and sailing from Folly Beach. I can still hear your voice all these years later. (Even when you spoke Spanish on your Ham radio late at night ) I’ll never forget you.
