  3. We were saddened to hear of Phyllis’ death. She was such a wonderful person and like a sister to me growing up. She will be missed I am sure by many. I know she must have struggled in the end but, I am sure she has a wonderful place in heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family today.

  5. I am so sad to learn of Phyllis’ death. Phyllis and I spent some wonderful times together in high school and even went camping with some other senior girls the night that we graduated. She had a wonderful spirit, even as a young woman, and I loved her terrific sense of humor. She was quick to laugh and then laughed with such abandon. It was contagious. I had been trying to track her down a couple of weeks ago so that I could see if she was going to be at our 50th high school reunion next year and am grieved to know that she will not be there. Bill and family, your loss is so great that words of comfort escape me. All I can say is that, from what little I knew about Phyllis’ life from high school on, she seemed exceedingly happy. To me, that said it all. My heartfelt condolences to each of you for your loss. ~ Diane Bunting Keys

  19. Pam and Family,
I was saddened to hear of Phyl’s passing and that she had suffered from a terrible disease. Now she is free of pain for that we can be thankful. I remember fondly spending time with her when I would visit you while we were in high school. Always good memories that you and your family must embrace now. God bless.

  21. Bill and entire family,
So so sorry to hear of Phyllis death… I was unaware the ALS had progressed so rapidly the past couple of weeks. Fortunate however she didn’t have to suffer any longer with this debilitating disease. She is in a better place, but of course we will always miss her gentle and kind personality she has always had. Marty and I are so grateful we were able to spend extra time with the two of you at the 45th class reunion at Kathy Hartwig’s place on Lake McBride Reservoir. It was an enjoyable e1vening to catch up. So glad we got to see you both again last summer at the Port reunion too. Phyllis was a great person.
