Edith Louise Reagan Farmer, 87, of Asheville, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at the Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehab Center.
A native of Haywood Co., she was a daughter of the late Walter and Sallie Knight Reagan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James William Farmer, and her son, James Harold Farmer.
Mrs. Farmer worked as a server in several restaurants and schools. She was a member of Richland Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Jenny Harrison and husband Carey, Joyce Bugg and husband Paul, and Sandra McCaleb; sons, Jerry D. Farmer and wife Teresa, and David Lee Farmer; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Gassaway officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Groce Funeral Home.

Mammaw you were the angel of our eyes. You keep us going when we would all get together and make us smile. Your heart was faithful for the lord and you always knew that things would be ok when the times got tough. We are going to miss you so very much but we all know that one day we will be with you and all our loved ones again. I know you are having a good time in heaven right now and looking down on us as we share our last goodbyes for you. Let it be known that every tear I shed is pure happiness for you. So sorry for your loss. Our friendship began in grade school and also throughout the years and is unbreakable. Now she is at peace & rest. Our friendship is forever. She will sadly missed but not forgotten.
