Evelyn Huntley Jordan

Evelyn Huntley Jordan, 90, of Fairview, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Flesher's of Fairview. A native of Henderson Co., she was a daughter of the late Rev. David and Nancy Dotson Huntley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles William "Bill" Jordan, daughter, Nancy Jane Travis, and by brothers Ottis, Francis, and Duane Huntley. Mrs. Jordan was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Holbert, Carol Shumbera and husband Tim, and Betty Butler and husband Matthew, all of Fairview; grandchildren, Chris Holbert and wife Kristen, Stephanie Brooks and husband Todd, and Jordan Steinhilber and husband Scott; great-grandchildren Aaron Travis, Will, Jacob, and Sam Holbert, Shelby Brooks, and Hadley Steinhilber; great-great grandchildren Sage, Scarlett, and Cleo Travis; and a sister, Betty Beard. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ronald Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to the staff of Flesher's Fairview and to Mrs. Jordan's caregiver, Mitch Pruett, for all their loving care.
