Catherine Williams Baldwin

Catherine Mae Williams Baldwin, 93, of Arden, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at The Oaks at Sweeten Creek. A native of Asheville, she was a daughter of the late Abraham and Ina Morrison Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carroll H. Baldwin, as well as four sisters, Veneer Lewis, Dorothy Summey, Aileen Brown and Madeline Daniels and six brothers, Roscoe, Paul, James, Neal, Rome and Andy Williams. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Finch and her husband, Morris; three sons, Roy Baldwin and his wife, Carolyn, James Baldwin and Roger Baldwin and his wife, Betty; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one step great-grandchild, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the nursing staff at The Oaks at Sweeten Creek. A graveside service for immediate family will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Don Hare. Flowers are appreciated, but memorial donations may be made to Chapel Hill Baptist Church, 9 Chapel Hill Church Road, Asheville, NC 28803. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
