Cordie Louise Tipton Snuffer, 85, of Weaverville, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center.
A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Delano Henderson Tipton.
Mrs. Snuffer was an active member of West Asheville Baptist Church, serving in many capacities: church hostess, assisting with Wednesday night meals, teaching Sunday school, and singing in the adult choir. She worked as the office manager for Carlyle Snuffer Grading.
She is survived by her husband, Carlyle Snuffer; daughter, Laurie Snuffer; son, Charles Snuffer; grandchildren, Kyle, Richelle, and Jared; and brothers, Tommy Tipton and Mike Tipton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13th, at West Asheville Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Stan Welch and the Rev. Darren Browning officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Asheville Baptist Church Building Fund, or to your favorite charity.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
Cordie was a wonderful lady. She always visited the art class at West Asheville Baptist, and was very encouraging. Such a sweet Christian lady. She is with her Savior now, and I will see her again. Until then,condolences to her family.I know you will miss her. I will,too.
