Timothy "Tim" Lee Fry

Timothy Lee Fry, 51, of Arden, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 at his residence. A native of Orlando, FL, he was a son of Dorothy Lee Rodd Fry and of the late Charles F. Fry, Sr. In addition to his mother, Tim is survived by three siblings: Charles F. Fry Jr. and his wife Mary, Susan Whritenour and her husband Bobby, and Jesse Richard Fry, as well as nine nieces and nephews, and five great-nieces and nephews. Although a Florida native, Tim loved living in the mountains of Western North Carolina. He enjoyed being outdoors, skydiving, watching football, and sampling craft beers. A Celebration of Tim's life will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.

  1. Tim was always such a wonderful, caring, and giving colleague and friend. I will miss him dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with all those who mourn his loss. With deepest sympathy.

  3. Tim was a good man and a good friend. I work with him at WOFL in Orlando for about 12 years. Everything happens for a reason and God is in control. The family is in our prayers.

  8. I met Tim several years ago and immediately was drawn to his warmth and humor. He was intelligent, kind, thoughtful and a great conversationalist. He will be truly missed. I wish this world had more men like Tim because it would be a better place.

  9. Days spent with Tim were days filled with genuine joy. We worked together at Skyline/WOFL. He made people laugh, the kind of laugh that often left your belly aching because you laughed so hard. It was a gift he gave to anyone lucky enough to know him. My deepest sympathy goes out to everyone who cared for Tim.

  10. Tim and I were friends for years in the 80’s and 90’s. Although I had lost touch with him I often remembered great times with a close friend. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
