Billy Eugene Luther

Billy Eugene Luther, 76, of Hendersonville, NC, son of the late Eugene Luther and Margaret Shipman Luther, loving stepfather Isaac C. Branks and Jerry Moody, entered into rest on February 17, 2016 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock. He leaves behind, a loving wife, Dorothy Luther; four children, Suzanne Hudgins (David) of Winston-Salem, Dianne Courtney (Gary) of Winston-Salem, Billy W. Luther (Nikkie) of Cherokee, NC and Brian C. Luther (Celeste) of St. Cloud, FL; one step-daughter, Vanessa Mason (Jason) of Clearmont, FL; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; one sister, Judy Turner; two nieces, Lisa Turner and Vickie Lawson (Tony) and special "niece of the heart", Patricia Stephens. Billy spent the first years of his life in the Asheville, area and his later years in central Florida before retiring to Hendersonville. He was greatly loved and will be missed immensely. No services are planned at this time. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
