Len Broughton Green, 87, of Candler, died Monday, April 11, 2016, at StoneCreek Health and Rehab.
A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of the late Harry and Valeria Wyatt Green. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Evans Green, daughters, Lisa Barnes, Teresa Johnson, and Betty Davidson, grandchildren, Amber and Shannon, and siblings, Raymond, Van, John, Fred, and Jane.
Mr. Green is survived by his daughters, Linda Rogers, Autumn Wright, Kim Lowe, and Tina Conard; son, Andrew L. Green (Ellen); brother, Harley Green; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Linda; I am so sorry for your loss. I met your dad several times and he was always very nice. He is now home with Lisa, Amber, and Shannon. Take care of yourself. I will be praying for your family.

Dear family, we are sorry for your loss. You will be in our prayers. Mr. Green was one of the sweetest, kindest, men. He was a shining example of a true Christian. Our son, Hunter nicknamed him the ‘gentle giant’. Our loss is Heaven’s gain.
