Nevin Clark Roeck

Nevin Clark Roeck, 94, died August 16, 2016 after a short illness. Nevin was born in Piqua, Ohio to the late Clara Schneider and the Rev. Carl T. Roeck. He was a veteran, having served as a US Army staff sergeant during WWII. Nevin earned his BBA from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio, where he met the love of his life, Anna Jane Von Gunten. They married on September 8, 1946. Nevin was a former member of Salem United Church of Christ, where his father was a minister, and Epworth United Methodist Church. He was a cost accountant at Libbey Owens Ford for 44 years. In addition to his cherished wife of 70 years, Jane, Nevin is survived by his son, John Roeck (Michele) of Sterling Heights, Michigan; granddaughters, Courtney Essenmacher (Tim) and Jennica Hrydziuszko (Jason); and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Margaret Loos of Toledo, and Dorothy Pockmire of Pinehurst, NC.
