Willie Mayes-Hall, 98, of Leicester, died on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.
Born on May 4, 1918, in Balsam, NC, Willie was the last surviving daughter of the late Adlea Walter and Hannah Jones Hyatt.
She worked 40 years at the Enka plant and was office manager for the opening of Akzona Office on the Square downtown for 11 years.
She is survived by her husband, Mack Henry Hall; daughter, Patsy Hyatt Peters; grandson, Terry R. Cogdill; and many nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Charlie Sams officiating.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
Patsy and Henry: Sharing in your sorrow and thinking of you both . Willie had a good long life and was an inspiration to many. I remember her sweet smile and always a kind word when I would see her. May the loving hand of God grant you peace during this time.
