Al was one of the most kind, gentle and personable people I have known, and he was remarkably generous with his time and his talents. His presence is missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
My dear cousin Josie I regret to hear of Allens passING. I love you so much. If I can help you in any way please let me know
Allen was a fine man and friend. He will certainly be missed by all those who knew him. Allen was a member of the MHS Class of 1957 and a frequent attendee of the ’57 Lunch Bunch meetings in Morganton. My condolences to all his loved ones during this difficult time.
Josie, I was saddened to hear of Al’s passing. He was such a gentleman and a kind person; I always enjoyed talking with him at class lunches. Heaven has welcomed a ‘special treasure’ and I pray that God’s love will bring you peace and comfort.
So sad to hear about Wayne and sorry carol and I can’t make it up today I am having some fond memories of Wayne and my younger days at aunt Mary’s praying for you and Dana and the family
My thoughts and prayers are with the family of the wonderful dancer and friend, Allen! I go by the nickname of Purple Deb and I met Allen when he came to the NC Mountain State Fair a few years ago with his buddies Frank and my cousin Jim to hear Leon Jacobs, Jr. perform. We danced several fun dances and had a big time! Mrs. DeVinney, I met you and your wonderful grandchildren on one of his visits to the fair and he later told me that your grandson was impressed with his dancing ability. God bless y’all as Allen will sorely be missed at this year’s fair in Sept.
Josie ,i’m sorry to hear about Allen. He seemed to be a quiet and kind person. I’m sorry I couldn’t make it to the Funeral but I will keep you in my prayers.
