Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Vance has seen Bobbie again! Girls
I loved your parents even before you were born.
I am Sharon the eldest daughter of
Russell and Mildred Plemmons. We talked often on the phone.
I remember you when you were very small.
Your parents kept me up to date on all your
Family. They loved Our Lord and He loves them.
Somehow it makes me thankful to know they
Are together. I wish I could be there
To hug each of you. Your Father is a
Precious man and Heaven is even dearer
To our hearts now. I know how he loved
Each of you he will be so missed!
    Hug one another from me.

  2. Brenda, I’m so sorry for the passing of your father. There is nothing like the love of a daddy. May God give you comfort during these grieving times.

  3. Among my earliest childhood memories are going to the Ashe Accounting Office with my dad in the 1950’s. We would always see Vance along with his father and brother at tax time each year. Vance was a very special person to our entire family. He often laughed at how much my mother reminded him of his mother, both red heads. Heaven has gained a truly fine man and a ‘ Duke Blue Devil ‘ through and through. My thoughts and prayers are with the Ashe family during this sad and difficult time

  4. We are sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad,
but we all can have peace and comfort knowing
he is in a much better place.
    In our thoughts and prayers.
    Mike and Marcia Hipps

  5. Vance’s life exemplifies a life well lived and one we all can aspire to – a credit to his family, profession, community and church. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you navigate this difficult time. The Wood Family – Amy, Jim, Caroline and James.

  6. To all of Vance’s family and especially Greg, my prayers, love, and thoughts are with you. Vance was the brother I never had and one of the best men I was ever blessed to know and call family.

  7. You will be well missed .He loved his girls and son. He missed Bobbie deeply, now he can be with her forever. Vance was a good listener and a wonderful friend. I am blessed to have been a part of Vance and Bobbies life. May you rest in peace.

  8. I am sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved father. Dr. Scott spoke often of his concern for you and your father in these past months. I am thinking of you and your family in this time of grief. Anna Weldon (Asheville Veterinary Associates)

  9. Brenda, Susan, and Molly, I am so sorry to hear about Vance. He is part of so many memories. I will never forget all thw Sundays the Forum Class at Abernethy filled Wilson Hall when he was teaching. He had so many talents. Love and Blessings to you and all Vance’s family . We are thinking of you. Alice Hoffman and all the Hoffman Family

  10. I only knew Mr. Ashe from seeing him support Jacob and Colin at ballgames, but after hearing about his life and how he touched so many, I regret not taking the time to speak with him more. It was always very obvious how much Mollie loved her daddy. He was a blessed man to have the love of so many! Your family is in my prayers for peace and comfort.

  11. He is a wonderful man with a wonderfully loving and supportive family. It was a privilege to get to know him and assist in his care. My thoughts are with you all.
