Abraham Ezekowitz

abraham ezekowitz
Abraham Seymour "Abe" Ezekowitz was called back to G*d on 14 Aug 2017, while at home in Waynesville, NC. Abraham was born on 09 Feb 1956 in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Meyer Ezekowitz and Riva Blumenkranz. Abe loved life and loved nature; his camera was his paintbrush and canvas, and with it, he captured the best and most beautiful sights, and shared with everyone close to him. He was smart, silly when the time was right, loving and tender, and could crack the perfect joke just when it was needed. He was always ready to listen, and he was always there when someone needed his advice. The world has lost another kind and beautiful person but Heaven has gained another angel. He leaves behind his wife Vanessa Ezekowitz; sister, Phyllis; brother-in-law, Anthony; niece, Lisa; nephew, Daniel; sister-in-law, Tiffany; sister-in-law, Sarah; niece, Kate; nephew, Scott; and three cherished pets, Dandy, Jeannie, and Cookie. Abe was interred at Lou Pollock Memorial Park, in Asheville.

  1. He will be missed. He always made me smile and never walked past without a hello.

Sending love your way. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

  2. Condolences to Abe’s family and friends. Abe and I were friends in 5th grade, at P.S. 48 in Brooklyn, NY. Abe found me on Facebook several years ago. I’m glad that he found a nice wife, and seemed to be happy, despite some health problems. He was a kind and gentle soul, as well as intelligent. He saw the problems with our nation and had a good sense about what needs to be done to fix them. Despite the years and the miles between us, it was great to reconnect with an old friend. I am so sorry your time was cut short, Abe.

  3. My daughter and I will always remember you and the special time we had years ago when you visited. May you rest in peace dear friend.

  4. I am so sorry for your loss we were good friends in Brooklyn along time ago i used to talk to him on fb he will be missed dearly

  5. I was wondering why I had not seen any input by him on Facebook. I knew Abe since college days. He was a fun guy. I was so sorry to hear of his demise.
May he rest in everlasting peace.
    He will be sorely missed.
