Ada Corrine Nash Gifford

Ada Corinne Nash Gifford, 94, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017. Born in Gaston County, NC, Mrs. Gifford was a daughter of the late John Love and Mable Moss Love Dunson. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Rev. Earl Nash and John Gifford, a daughter, Linda Sue Walker, half-sister, Maudie Lee Fountain, and half-brothers, James Dunson (Ann) and Neil Dunson. She was a charter member of Emma Heights Church of God. Surviving are daughters, Glenda Lou Nash Mercer and Mary Frances Nash Hudgins; 5 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren, half-sisters, Elnora Pilgrim, Carolyn Hayes and Ann Holcomb; half-brother, Ronald Dunson; several nieces and nephews; and her little dog she loved very much, Daisy. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Emma Heights Church of God with Pastor C. Lewis Melton officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue. Memorials may be made to Emma Heights Church of God, 645 Emma Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
