Kay Phillips Pressley, 61, of Asheville, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018. A native of Polk County, she was a daughter of the late Karl Marx and Dorthea Lee West Phillips. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Norman Pressley; one son, Brandon Pressley and his wife, Annita; step-children, Lisa Pressley, Tammy Campo and Michael Pressley; one sister, Judy Godfrey; two brothers, David Phillips and Paul Phillips, as well as eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 13 in the Butler addition of New Salem Cemetery. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.

  7. My heart goes out to Kay’s family. Kay is one of the sweetest women I have ever know. I am going to miss her so much and miss the fun she and I had when we would go places. She was a kind and loving person who knew no harm and loved everyone. I pray that God will give her husband and son comfort during this really difficult time in their lives and let them know that God has her in Heaven with them right now. I am going to miss her so much, she was a friend that I respected and loved. Heaven got another good angel and we lost a wonderful friend.
