Henry Frisbee, 90, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, April 5, 2018, with his family at his side. Born in Madison County, Mr. Frisbee was a son of the late Van and Margaret Frisbee, and was also preceded in death by his siblings, Grover, Herschel, Woodrow, Reeves, Lucy, Bessie, Maggie and Sue. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was the owner of Frisbee's Upholstery and Cabinet Shop in Leicester for over 45 years. He enjoyed the craftsmanship of his work so much that he continued working until age 88. He was an avid golfer and bowler, having many friends in both sports. He was a longtime bowler in the Mountain City Handicap League and was twice voted the Best Sportsman. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Maude Graham Frisbee; son, Michael Frisbee and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services with military honors will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Madison County.
