Jean Sheets Fink

Jean Sheets Fink, 84, of Fairview, died on Monday, June 25, 2018. A native of Buncombe Co., Jean was a daughter of the late O.D. and Sue Pittillo Sheets. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Milo "Mike" Fink; brothers, O.D. “Bud” Sheets, Jr., T.J. “Jack” Sheets, and Robert “Bob” Sheets; and sisters, Frances Hull, Sudie Wheeler, Shirley Middleton, and Patsy Bartlett. She was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church in Fairview. Mrs. Fink will be remembered as a hardworking wife and mother who loved to spend time crafting and sewing, and was an excellent cook. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Nesbitt and husband Phillip; sons, Ron Fink, and Don Fink and wife Donna; grandchildren, Amanda Ogle and husband Jonathan, James Nesbitt, Rhonda Burrell and Erica Burrell; great-grandchildren, Miranda Burrell and Samuel Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews The funeral service for Mrs. Fink will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Sharon United Methodist Church with Pastor Glenda Hayner officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the church. Mr. and Mrs. Fink spent many years tending to the church cemetery and her family asks that memorials be made to the Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 2 Laura Jackson Rd., Fairview, NC 28730. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
