Kathy Lee Griffin, 52, of Asheville, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Pardee Hospital.
A native of Buncombe Co., Kathy was a daughter of Ruby Angel Griffin and of the late Billy Edward Griffin. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Norma Weaver.
In addition to her mother, Kathy is survived by her soulmate of 35 years, Phillip Harbin; and her nephews, Phillip and Bruce Griffin.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

So sad to hear about Kathy’s departure to a better world. She will be sorely missed by us and many more. Her humor & wit were outstanding and she was a very sweet woman. We pray for her as well as Ruby, Phil Harbin, and the rest of the family, with wishes of goodwill and strength to overcome the despair.
