Carol, I am so sorry to hear of Hattie’s passing. She and I go back a long way. She was one year behind me at Candler High School. We were both members of the American Enka basketball team, the Rayonettes, under coach Sam Patton. She was such a pleasant person to be around and always ready for a good joke.
Carol,
We are sorry to hear about Aunt Hattie. I know Paw Paw (Wilbur) always loved her visits when they lived in Atlanta. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Love Ronnie & Vera Smith
Carol my heart hurts for you. I am just heart broken to know that this sweet woman and dear friend of mine has past away. Gone on to be with the Lord She is going to be missed by me and my family. Hattie will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Carol, I am sad to learn of Hattie’s passing. She was a great lady and was a good match for Darrell who was my cousin. Know that she is now in her place in heaven.
Carol, I just found out today about the passing of your mom. Here it is 2 years later. I am ashamed that no one told me or heard about the passing of Hattie. She was a wonder lady. I remember her and John taking me to church with them when I was little. I remember at one of the church visits I opened my little pocketbook and pulled out a deck of cards and your sweet mom just smiled at me and said we will play with them when we get home. I will never forget her sweet smile at my young age. I remember her contagious laugh. Your mom made time for me, you and Patty to play under the pine trees at your house. Carol, losing a mom is hard but your memories of her will stay with you forever. Again I am sorry I did not hear about her passing but just know she is not in heaven looking down at you all the time. She loved you so much. Gale Hoyt. ( Grady and Willoree Carland oldest daughter).
