Guestbook

  1. Dear George,
It saddened me to see Carol’s obituary in the HDR. I knew her from the Hiking Club. She was always so gentle and calm and nice to be around. I found those qualities especially admirable. We had hiked together a number of times. She led hikes. She even came to my home to give me advice about landscaping when she was taking the course at CVCC.
She was beautiful inside and out.
Loving kindness is being sent to you and your family during this time. I cannot imagine what you are experiencing Give yourself time to process the loss. My wish is that eventually the fine memories you shared together as husband and wife will be a well of love into which you can reach and find solace.
Peace to you and your family.

    • Dear George,

It has been many, many years ago, but I think I remember working with you at Superior Continental in Hickory. If I am mistaken, I truly apologize, but your name is not that common around this area and I am rather certain that we did work together, if only briefly, all those many years ago. I am so sorry for your loss, may God Bless you and your family during this time. Your wife sounded like such a loving and caring person.

  2. Lori,
You were one of my first students in my teaching career in elementary school. You were sweet and memorable all on your own, but what stood out as well was the loving, caring mother that supported you. If all things stayed the same, I can not imagine you ever had to doubt her love for you. I know she’ll be missed. She certainly touched my life by showing through her actions an unconditional love and strength that I still find rare today.
Prayers for you, your family, and especially your children.

  3. Dear George and Lori, It breaks my heart to know that Carol is gone! She was always so sweet and pleasant, just a wonderful person! It was always so special to see you come back to events at Christ Lutheran. I will always carry the memory of our fun times together..all those nights playing Canasta. Please know that you both are in my thoughts and prayers and may God give you comfort during this very difficult time!
    Much Love, Camilla
