A native of Marshall, NC, Johnny was a son of the late Cullus and Eunice Wild Rice. He was also preceded in death by his son, Timothy Lawrence Rice.
Mr. Rice is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Linda English Rice; son, Terry Rice; sisters, Robbie Gunter and Betty Rigsby; brother, Gene Rice; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
