So sorry to hear about Rudy’s passing. I was Mary’s hairdresser for years. Always loved for Rudy to come with Mary. Loved this couple. Such a gentle soul. Rest In Peace Rudy.
I remember Rudy and Mary as volunteers in the ER. They were so wonderful together, what a team! Several years later I ran into them at a restaurant and Rudy asked me how I was doing. My dad was having to under go heart bypass and Rudy must have sensed my worry. He put me at ease and told me not to worry about a thing. He also wanted me to make certain to tell my dad what to expect afterwards. I remember him saying “Tell him to give it a year.” I passed those words on to my dad and I have many times told others who where facing the same surgery, Rudy’s words of wisdom he shared with me those long years ago. I know his words helped me, my dad and others. They were special people indeed.
