  5. Svetlana was the most beautiful and most caring soul. The world is a kinder, gentler place because of her and her love for others. She will be missed beyond measure.

My sincere sympathy as you mourn and celebrate this incredible woman, wife, mother, and community leader.

  6. My deepest sympathy to Svetlana’s family. She was always so kind and helpful with the referrals she made to my office for CSS clients in need of disability assistance. She will be missed.

  7. Dear Marina and Gundorin family – I embrace you and pray for you in your deep sorrow. I miss Svetlana so. She was an angel, a guardian, a godmother to so many, myself included. Her legacy of care, commitment and love lives on with all those she touched and inspired over the years. We at Catholic Charities can only try to follow in her footsteps in helping the refugee families she entrusted to our care. Rest in peace, dear Svetlana, and thank you for your presence in our lives. Gregory

  8. My heart aches. When I worked at Catholic Charities, she was the bright light. She has guided thousands through their journey to a new country, with care, kindness, and a gentle touch. To Marina and the family, I know that the love she had for each of you, and the pride she felt will be with you every day. Live and huge hugs. Bunny

  9. Dear Marina and family,
Though this is a time of sadness and grief, it also a time of intense joy! Dear, gentle Svetlana is surely with the resurrected Jesus she loves so much. Suffering finished for her, now eternal joy.
How can we know this? She was someone that you couldn’t miss seeing Him in her eyes, her work, her whole being. Please take comfort in that, and that she will intercede for all of you, until you can be with her again, and with her loving Lord.
“Remember, Lord, those who have died and gone before us marked with the sign of faith, especially Svetlana. May she, and all who sleep in Christ, find in Your presence light, happiness, and peace. Through Christ our Lord.” Amen
    With love,
    Anne

  10. Svetlana and her family are in our thoughts and prayers as we remember what a wonderful person she was. I worked with her through CSS and remember how tireless she was and what an impact she made on so many lives! She was a blessing and she will be missed. May God bless all of those who miss her and may her soul rest in peace. Courtney
