Clyde Jack Emory, 93, of Arden, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021.

Clyde was a son of the late Samuel and Susie Campbell Emory. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathe, who passed in 2019, as well as many siblings.

He was a veteran of the US Army and went on to work for the federal government as an aerial photographer and surveyor.

Clyde is survived by his special nephews Randy Mahaffey (Toni) and Eddie Mahaffey; his special niece, Linda Gipson, as well as several other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Graveside Service for Clyde will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 283 Overlook Road, Asheville, NC 28803.

  1. Randy and family…. Our hearts are saddened to hear of Clyde’s passing, but rejoice in knowing that he is reunited with Kathe, and all those dear family and friends who passed before him. Clyde was a treasure on this earth, and we both feel blessed to have known him! We love you all and will be praying for God’s peace to surround you in the days that follow.
